Bought a large parasol from Kybotech (Simply Garden Furniture). Seemed very good value, and delivery was prompt. Excellent, I thought.
However, we had an immediate problem when it blew inside out within 2 minutes of being put up, resulting in the crank mechanism jamming and us being unable to wind it down again.
Kybotech were contacted and help sought, but they just came back and said it was 'non warrentable' as it was 'weather damage'.
We've since worked out how to dismantle and reassemble the mechanism so that the crank is now working again. But no thanks to Kybotech.
We wanted customer support, and we didn't get it, and I'm now left with an expensive bit of kit that I daren't use for fear of 'weather damage'.
Read the small print. Don't expect any help if problems occur, and shop elsewhere. I wish I had.
Sometimes things don't go to plan. And that's when excellent customer service saves the day.
Item delivered was not exactly as shown on internet. Really good experience with customer service, and for that reason, whilst I couldn't in the end, get the item I wanted, I would still shop with Garden XL again.
Had problems placing order on line. System took and registered my details, but then wouldn't recognise them, and therefore wouldn't let me proceed to checkout.
Order had to be placed via phone after the weekend. Call was quick, efficient and the part was received the day after.
Being able to find this spare on line saved us money and mess, as without it would have had to replace whole shower rail.
