I'm so glad I signed up to MSE.com, there's always useful information in the weekly e-mails and I've often been pointed in the direction of bargains I'd never have found on my own. If I need advice on a range of subjects there's always something on the forum, and if I need restaurant vouchers this is the first place I look to see what's available. And the various gadgets are excellent - I'll always check here first for the best place to buy my holiday money or which credit card deals are hot! MSE - tells it like it is!
I've shopped with Lakeland for many years, back to when they were Lakeland Plastics, and there are several reasons why I keep on coming back. Firstly, they are always coming up with new products - everything you never knew you needed - and I LOVE gadgets. Secondly, the quality of what they sell is usually great, and if it's not, then thirdly, their customer services team is BRILLIANT. It's so refreshing to deal with a company that actually cares whether their customers are happy with their purchases. That's why I and so many others are repeat customers.
I found a great deal online after being tipped off by a friend, and ordered 2 packs of their clearance products. I received an e-mail confirmation of my order, then promptly forgot all about it - I suppose I'm so used to companies e-mailing me again when they've despatched my order that when I didn't have any further messages from them I just didn't think any more about it. It was only a chance conversation with someone more than a month later that reminded me that I'd placed an order and never received anything. I got straight on to their customer services by e-mail to explain all this and ask whether they'd despatched my order. I was horrified to be told that yes, it had been shipped out and there was a signature by someone I'd never heard of accepting the delivery. However, customer services were very helpful in the circumstances, bless 'em, and arranged another parcel to be sent out to me which I received very quickly, so I didn't miss out on my lovely Burts Bees beauty products after all. I have enough for myself AND some luxury stocking fillers for Christmas - I'm very happy with both the products and the customer service I received, thanks to all concerned, although I'd suggest a despatch confirmation e-mail might be a good idea in addition to the order confirmation one.
I first came across cruisemiles back in 2009 when they were still cruisevouchers, and I nervously took the plunge and purchased my first voucher from eBay. I booked my first cruise, a transatlantic crossing from Miami to Rome, for our honeymoon in April 2010 and then spent months worrying that it was all too good to be true - surely we couldn't really cruise for that price? Well, it was true, there were no catches and we spent two weeks on board relaxing in the lap of luxury, the perfect honeymoon and we couldn't have afforded it otherwise. We were treated exactly the same as the full-paying guests. That was it, we were hooked, and I soon purchased more vouchers and booked a Mediterranean cruise which we took in Oct 2011. Once again, a luxurious yet affordable holiday. I've watched with interest as the company has evolved from the original vouchers to the current miles system, expanding and constantly coming up with new ideas without losing its ideals - there's now a thriving online forum where you can chat to like-minded cruise enthusiasts who can answer pretty much any question you might have about cruising (or anything else for that matter), as well as an in-house auction site to feed your growing addiction. There's a good reason why so many of Richard's customers feel compelled to sing his praises and spread the word. I already have another two cruises booked and can't wait to see what comes up next.
