Ordered Lens on August 22nd and received it Sept 20th. So 4 weeks ish as opposed to 10 days.
I initially called after 10 working days to inquire why i hadn't got a tracking number and a very polite lady called Gemma said she'd chase it up for me and call me back. As promised she did call me back later that afternoon saying that it wouldn't be dispatched until the following week at the earliest. She asked if i would like to keep the order to which i said yes. She said to call again if i hadn't heard anything but after reading some of these reviews i kinda expected a bit of a wait so didn't call back.
Anyway, eventually received a DHL tracking number and once it was picked up in Hong Kong it arrived very quickly. I did have to pay an import/VAT charge of £7 ish but i think this was levied by DHL themselves unfairly and not the fault of Froomoo as the invoice indicated that no taxes were due. Anyway for the cost saving and being anxious to get my lens i just payed it.
Yes the wait was long and add into that the expectation of 10 days i can see why so many people are mad. But the 200-300 pound saving i made on the lens means i can forgive this for the most part. I reckon it is probably one dude in HK dealing with an awful lot of orders so things move slowly. If they were a little bit more transparent/realistic about delivery times i think they would do a great deal towards improving their reputation/rating. But from my experience they are not a scam as some people have suggested.
