Amazon is pretty good - BUT it does wind me up that a little like Microsoft you cant talk to anyone about their service in general. I wanted to express my annoyance that Amazon holds onto a package for five days and then sends it - simply because you have chosen a free 3-5 day delivery service. They are so clearly and deliberately down grading the delivery process and have the cheek to tell you that even though they are 'dispatching', it would take the week anyway. Clearly garbage, and I wanted to tell them to their face. But you cant. Its all very annoying and you feel you cannot talk to anyone. Regretable actions from a large company ......... Andy :) Oh and they are promising to deliver three days late now ...... grrrr!
I placed an order for some photograhic kit maybe two-three years ago and had a really bad experience which ended with my credit card being refunded. Around two months after cancellation and after many headaches and no responses from Simply Electronics. Stupidly I had forgotten this and placed another order about a month ago. I have only just received the product despite it being in stock and only I believe because I enlisted the help of KwikChex VT. DO NOT DEAL WITH SIMPLY ELECTRONICS. In my experience they do not break any laws, but do make the whole transaction process unecessarily long, drawn out and extremely painful. I can be single minded and wont give up - many others would have.
