On the 17th Sept I got a phone contract from o2 (Not Carphone Warehouse) but on disliking it, o2 told me to return it to my local Carphone Warehouse and they would tell Carphone Warehouse to refund my deposit..
I did so and on asking me the card number I used to pay my deposit, they refunded me that on 24th Sept. After this refund, I purchased Galaxy S3 in store at the same time.
Couple of days ago however, my bank account was fleeced for over £600 by o2. I contacted them and they told me Carphone Warehouse had not returned the phone to them.
So today, I went down to my local store with my bank statement showing sales and refund and the receipt.
Amazingly despite all this, the Carphone Warehouse say it's not on the system so I did not return the phone to them and there's nothing they can do.
I've been to see my bank manager and my local Citizens Advice today, as well as sending all these details to Watchdog and have demanded compensation.
I have the name of the person who sold me the item and took my phone back. Either he has taken it for his self, forgot to record it or Carphone Warehouse have deliberately stolen money from me.
I have submitted an indemnity claim also.
I put an order in to Simply Electronics today worth £600. Straight after, I was made redundant.
I was simply going to contact them, but after reading this site I've got worried. I've sent them 30 cancellation emails with no response, so Ive contacted Visa and LloydsTSB. I hope I'm just
panicking, I'll let you know how this pans out.
I was sent into a panic by some of these reviews. I thought I had lost my money.
But within 2 days I was credited a full refund.
When my money situation improves, I'm coming back here to get the phone I want.
I feel stupid now for rejecting a bargain based on reviews.
iPhone 5 64GB will be from Simply Electronics.
Thanks to all at SE
I've used Mazuma three times now and been chuffed with each one. It's the most trustworthy company with a receipt provided etc, some of the companies have you sending your phone blind and then try to rip you off.
Mazuma is the only one I will use now.
