Appalling and dangerous bike builds

I bought 2 bikes from Halfords Fareham, the first one had most of the checks and adjustments not done and the pedal had been misthreaded so bent as I used it, the second bike had the crank fall off closely followed by me, luckily the lady in the car behind was on the ball and stopped or she'd have run over my leg. The bike quality is good the so called bike techs appalling. Beware these people are actually dangerous.
