Chocolate Trading Company

VERY DISAPPOINTED

Ordered special offer Valentines box on 6th Feb, received dispatch email 11th Feb, now 27th Feb and still no Chocs, I did inform the company of no delivery, and they did say that they would refund the purchase price back onto my card and if the chocs arrived I could keep them, fair enough, but all I wanted was the Chocs for a Valentines gift, on the moneysupermarket forum there are also customers whom had not received the Chocs also.

Right product at the right price, but would be better pleased if the delivery time was cut to max of 14days say for orders of six doors or less.

BOOKING ITINERARY NOT CLEAR AND WITH MISTAKES

I HAD TO EMAIL ALPHAROOMS SEVERAL TIMES FOR CLARIFICATION OF DETAILS OF OUR BOOKING THAT WERE NOT VERY CLEAR ON THE ITINERARY, THE MAIN POINT WAS THE CARRY ON BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE WHICH THEY MESSED US UP ON, AT ONE POINT TELLING US IT WAS 10KG EACH BUT FINALLY TELLING US THAT THEIR CONTRACT WITH MONARCH AIRLINES WAS ONLY 5KG EACH, BUT WHEN WE CHECKED IN ,THE LADY ON THE DESK TOLD US THAT WE COULD HAVE TAKEN 10KG EACH, THAT EXTRA ALLOWANCE WOULD HAVE BEEN WELL USED AS I WAS TRAVELLING WITH TWO FEMALES WHO LIKE TO DRESS AND SHOP SO WE COULD NOT BRING MUCH SHOPPING BACK WITH US AND NO DUTY FREE DRINK.??? Sarah, your reply is just not good enough,I would like to know why was I given the wrong information? both by email and by telephone.YOUR EXCUSES ARE NOT GOODENOUGH, I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED AN ESTABLISHED REPUTABLE COMPANY TO HAVE GOT IT RIGHT FIRST TIME, ESPECIALLY AFTER BEING ASKED SEVERAL TIMES TO CONFIRM THE CORRECT ALLOWANCE.I WILL NOT BE USING ALPHAROOMS AGAIN.

Hi Robert,

I'm sorry to hear about your baggage allowance problem. Thank you for bringing this to our attention- this issue has now been dealt with accordingly and flight information has been updated to show the 10kg baggage allowance.

EDIT: Monarch airlines gave us a general guideline which, in this case, was a baggage allowance of 5kg-10kg dependant on the flight. alpharooms stated a baggage allowance of 5kg in order to prevent people from taking 10kg, only to find they must pay for the extra 5kg. This also meant that people with a 10kg baggage allowance with only 5kg in baggage would then be able to take up to 5kg in duty free products.

I'm sorry that you were given the wrong information by phone/email- this is a communication error on our part. Please accept my apologies for this.
