I use their store in Hounslow. Never used them online. However, there is a decent range of things in store but they are a little pricey as they sell designer ranges which goes with the territory regarding price. Check out their sales though. you may find a bargain. The store at Hounslow is a little bit of a mixed bag. Perhaps it needs a bit of reorganising.
When i have purchased items online from Argos, the goods eventually turn up but seem to be of poor quality. Maybe it is me but they seem to sell fairly cheap items in the sense that they are not solid. I bought a car stereo from them which broke down within a day or so. they replaced it as they should but it had a 12 quid new CD stuck in it that i could not recover. I pointed this out but never got it back. So, i was down on time, effort and money really. I even had to take the damn thing back to the store. Sort of defeats the ease of internet shopping. Still, one bad experience does not form my view. I just find the whole experience a bit sub standard.
I used to use Play and they were excellent. Good prices and fast delivery. Never had a problem. However, they seem dearer than they ever were and their focus is on 12 to 20 years old it seems. Now, nothing wrong in that but as a middle aged surfer, i want where I shop to recognise me as well. I can't get into skinny T Shirts nor am I interested in toy gadgets. But, most importantly, the prices seem to have risen and other sources like Amazon have taken my custom.I used to spread my purchases and compare prices between the two. Play do not compare to Amazon now in my view. Shame.
I think 3 stars is fair. Tesco are better than ASDA, Sainsbury's and Morrisons in my view but they all over priced and need to start being realistic about their profit margins and return some of their huge wealth that we the shopper gave them back to us. So, nice stores, reasonable food, decent service but all too expensive. The average shopper, of which I am one, wants to see much more from these stores in these difficult times. Don't think we don't know because we do and the big stores will pay for it in loss of custom unless they acknowledge that we are not dimwits. We know you know.
Never had an issue with Amazon. Parcels sent promptly, website easy to use. Great selection and really. takes the pain out of trudging up and down the high street. been using Amazon for years.
This was the first time I have used this company. I had a short wait before my car was dealt with which was not unexpected as other cars were being dealt with. Danny, the guy in charge was polite, friendly and I had the four tyres replaced quickly. I wasn't there long at all. It took less time than I expected.
The online booking worked very well and removed the uncertainty of turning up without booking. I paid on line and this meant that I knew exactly what I was paying before I took the car in.
They did a good job and it was a very good customer experience. I daresay I will use them again as a result and would recommend the Ealing branch.
