Appalling service when ordering on-line (very poor logistics - unacceptable service)
After placing my order on-line (multiple items, total > £500), money were drawn from my bank account but nobody contacted me to let me know that two items were apparently not in stock (though those items continued to appear for another week on Currys website as "in stock", both for home delivery and collection in store - this just gives you an idea about how much control they have upon their stocks...).
After 10 days of waiting and still unaware of the situation, I phoned them and (after several attempts to speak to someone knowledgeable and another half an hour on an 0844 line) I have been finally told that my order was put on ice because of the missing items. Had to cancel the missing items, find replacements etc... and now, two weeks later, I am still waiting for the delivery...
Long story short, I find the level of stock control is extremely poor, and this is made worse by their staff attitude towards the customer ('we got their money, let the fools find us if they really want something in return").
Placing an on-line order with Currys appears a sort of a gamble, and I would definitely not repeat this mistake again.
Look out there because there are better internet shops that do genuinely care about their customers.
