I bought 2 new doors from Yale-door, evader were contracted to fit them, first of all they left the place a total mess and left black stains on the carpet, they never covered anything up. The doors have not been fitted correctly and the frames are not flush. 5 days after installation the front door would not lock, i called them out and they readjusted the door, a few weeks later i could not lock either my back door or front.
I complained to Yale-door (who are door-stop international) whom in turn sent a YALE UK engineer out to see what was up. it turns out the Evander engineers did not secure my new digital door locks with 4 security screws just 2 leaving the doors insecure, the Yale engineer told me that the job was unfinished and had to re drill the correct holes strip down the locks and reinstall them. He also showed me there was light coming through the side of the door as the frame was installed wrong. In his words it looked like a cowboy job!!!
I complained to Yale-door and they made me appointment for Evander to come back out today, to assess what need doing to fix all the other faults left.
I got an email yesterday saying they would be out between 8 and 12pm no one turned up, so i phoned the depot at 12:55, they said the engineer could not get hold of me by phone so cancelled the appointment??? Even though i got an email yesterday saying he was arriving.
13:20 after i complained , there was a missed call on my partners mobile, which they now claim that's the call i missed, liars.
So to sum up, they left a mess everywhere, they did not install the digital locks as they only used half the screws, they did not align the doors or the frame, they left the doors both incorrectly installed and unsafe and Yale engineer said both doors were terribly fitted, by what looks like cowboys.
It’s going to be one month next week, since i requested they come back and fix the faults and Evander still have not been.
