I've had excellent service from wallpaper direct before and upon ordering samples this time was impressed at how quickly they came. I made my decision and put a large order in via their website. A few days later I received a very courteous telephone call from their customer service wherein they were sad to advise that they were awaiting stocks of the wallpaper I had ordered and it was likely to be another 3 weeks delay. I had a decorator booked for the following week as it was the only time he had available for the next few months. My disappointment was that I wasn't made aware of the no stock availability in the first place. It should have been notified on their website prior to me ordering or even noted when the sample was sent to me. As it happens, I went to my local Brewers decorating centre (as recommended on the wallpaperdirect website) and received superb advice and assistance from the staff there - and was even offered two cups of tea while they helped me make another wallpaper choice. Fantastic service -and I shall definitely go back to them for any future wallpaper needs!
So far, it doesn't bode well - and I've only got as far as placing my first order. I applied for an account which was one of their terms in order to use a discount code. After completing my details, including what I like for breakfast, the account was turned down because their system "couldn't recognise my address". My address has only been here for over 400 years - I can't change it. What more could I do? I had to pay in full there and then and there was no discount code of any sort for a new customer! Not happy. I wouldn't have ordered anything and just cancelled the transaction, but I'd spent best part of two hours browsing their website and choosing things as Christmas gifts. I really couldn't face searching the internet further.
I absolutely agree with all the positive opinions on this company. I wore glasses for some 45 years, having suffered from long sightedness and astigmatism in both eyes. I was literally unable to open my eyes doing mundane activities such as showering, swimming or trying to dry my hair (impossible wearing glasses!) owing to eye strain when not wearing glasses. I had tried every conceivable contact lens, but nothing was perfect, and my choices regarding any laser surgery were nil. When I found a brochure on the Clarivu procedure at Optegra I could not believe my luck that, at last, there might just be something which would work for me. I immediately booked a consultation with Andrew Luff at Optegra in Guildford. He explained the whole procedure, and we discussed what my expectations were and the results which could be achieved. He told me that a new "toric" lens was now available specifically to suit my (quite complicated) prescription and the results were very positive, but I fully understood that 20/20 vision would be impossible to achieve. I was quite happy to have to just wear reading glasses for longer sessions of reading small print. I went ahead with the surgery a year ago (September 2013) and here I am, 12 months later, so delighted with the outcome. Both procedures were done over two weeks, with a follow up visit a few weeks after both eyes had been done. Andrew, I enjoyed your running commentary while you were doing the actual procedure (pink marshmallows and black holes spring to mind!!!). It has been totally life changing and I only wish this procedure had been available years ago. Thank you Mr Luff and Optegra - a truly professional and outstanding care package.
I obtained a good price for my mobile although I did find it a bit of a challenge working out whether sending my phone by post was freepost or not. The advice is to send any valuable phones by signed for delivery to give peace of mind should it be lost in transit, but in my case I decided to send it the cheapest way as my phone was not worth a lot of money. I then discovered I could have, at my own risk, sent it by freepost, but it was too late. Slightly confusing website instructions. Within a few days I received an email to say the phone had been received and had passed muster and the money was paid into my bank account promptly. Great service. Would use again.
I have used quite a few online pet food companies over the years and as there was a discount offer for joining Zooplus, decided to give them a go. Their prices are extremely competitive and in addition to cat food and litter I purchased a huge litter tray for my cat which I couldn't find elsewhere. The whole process was easy, communication from them on progress and order delivery was outstanding and the parcel arrived, intact, the day after placing my ordering. Fantastic service. Would definitely recommend and will use again.
I cannot believe how efficient this company was. I rang at 4.30pm in a panic needing spares for my Oakleys as I was leaving for holiday after the Bank Holiday weekend and sure enough the spares were delivered to me at 9.30am the next day. The guy who answered the phone was so pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable and this transaction was superb. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Collection for 2-day delivery organised for the Tuesday.
Waited in all day - no one turned up.
Had to reschedule another collection on internet - offices closed. Collection booked for the following day (Wednesday).
I rang Wednesday morning to make sure I was on their collection list - still no answer after 20 minutes of hanging on the phone. Rang in the afternoon as I was anxious about missing the promised delivery to the customer on the Thursday. Faithfully promised that yes, they would be collecting the parcel today. No one turned up.
Have given up and will use another delivery service as I cannot afford to wait around another day in case they decide to turn up. Absolutely ludicrous way of running a business. Will never use again.

As usual, efficient service with extremely fast delivery. You can't ask for more. Perfect.
Good selection of electricals. I needed an obsolete bulb and because the website detailed descriiption of the item was so precise and clear I managed to find a good replacement - which works! Delivery was fast and the prices were extremely competitive. Will definitely use again.
Easy to use website and many goods are cheaper than competitors. I chose this retailer because I was looking for a particular lipstick which I couldn't find anywhere else on the web. Bit miffed at having to pay postage, so decided that as I was going to have to pay for this I might as well increase my order and make good use of it. Lo and behold, as a previous review mentioned, I got an email that 2 of the 3 goods I ordered were out of stock. Sadly, one of those items was the lipstick I had been searching for. Why should this happen with computerised stock control? To be fair I was asked whether I wanted them to cancel the order and make a refund or whether to carry on and deliver the one item they did have in stock. Good communication, but should not offer goods which they do not have in stock.
The whole process has been a waste of my time and I'm now being showered with unwanted sales emails and still trying to unsubscribe from this company. That was the decider for me that I will not use this company again.
