Original:- I got a mail from Essentials urging me to buy before Friday to get a 10% discount.
Insurance renewal due within 2 weeks, so I logged on to do the business. No way I could seem to make it work - phone call was answered by machine with "we are experiencing huge demand, please wait" etc etc,, followed by Deafening blast of "music".
Gave up, and bought policy as new customer - was indeed 10% less - now I seem to have 2 identities. Somewhat frustrating, but pleased with the Policy.
Easy to book, clear website [very nice to use - model to others], and good price.
Chose cheapest option - took 5 days - but fair enough.
V pleased with quality of specs.
Delivery ponderous, but briefed to expect that - part of the reason for astonishing prices!
Selecting frames a nightmare - pages of frames with names like "2088" and "4109", and no favourites option.
Have bought 4 pairs - 2 are A1, 2 didn't fit too well.
The ones that suited best had disappeared from options when I tried to re- order, so I went fro something else and wasn't as good.
If the site was improved would be a 5 star experience. I'd certainly recommend the company to anyone fed up with silly High St prices
