A fantastic service all my issues were resolved by the "chat now" operator. It wasn't a problem I had, I just wanted to upgrade the service I had. This was completed with no fuss and the process was explained to me every step of the way. I recommend Fasthosts to all

I had a picky thorny technical problem and got Meldred on live chat. I know it's their job and they're supposed to know how things work, but what was excellent was that he took me through logical steps without putting a foot wrong, understanding how it must look if it's not what you do all day, and fixed it up properly in just a couple of minutes. That's really everything you'd want, but he's also a friendly, conversational guy so it was quite a pleasant operation when it could so easily have been frustrating and stressy. Top marks to a competent, nice guy!

Former users of Streamline, our service has been integrated with Fasthosts. The overall impact has been significant and positive. The quality of customer service, response time and attitude of the staff have all been excellent, so far. With regard to the product, we now have access to Sent mail which we do not have before - and which is vital to any business; and the volume of spam appears to have been greatly reduced. Currently we dont have a folder for deleted items, or a mechanism for marking incoming mail as spam. Both of these would be good.

It took some time to reconcile my issue as we repeatedly came across the same problem when trying to set up my email account. It was not made easier by too much background noise and a poor line but the person remained calm, courteous and focused on helping me despite my increasing irritation and frustration. Thanks for the help and your patience.

I recently had support from a very helpful member of the technical support team, Meldred. She was ace. Superb service. Made me understand areas within my hosting package I initially found quite complicated. Thank you!
I was unlucky to start with. Fasthosts had server problems and my account was on the problem server so I had problems. HOWEVER, their support team is excellent and even over the weekend I was getting responses in less than an hour AND since the initial problems, I have had no problems. On the whole I'm very impressed.

First you wouldn't believe that I hadn't been told about a 12 month contract, in fact you insisted on checking the logs, which you couldn't find as you state below, i asked for a call back today, which didn't happen.

Further to our conversation this afternoon, I have asked one of our support team leaders to look through the telephone log to see if we could trace the original call when the server was first purchased. Unfortunately, we have been unable to find the call. All agents must go through a strict sales protocol with customers confirming the service purchased, the cost of the service, and the duration of the contract.
Once we have verbal confirmation that the customer is happy to proceed with the sale, the agent would then have taken your card payment details and processed the order. Whilst I am sorry, that you had assumed that the server was on a monthly pay as you go basis, I am confident that the agent at the time would have confirmed the duration of the contract with you.
Therefore, I can only confirm that the contract would still stand and we would be unable to close your current server VPS1075106273 or look at reducing the cost of the machine until it has completed the minim contractual term which ends in May 2015.
I am sorry for the problems that you have experienced. I have looked through the history of the case and believe that this has now been resolved. However, could you please let me know if there is anything further we can assist with?
I had problems setting up my new Iphone 6plus , especially with regards to email send/receive. I spoke to Sem Nuneza via the Chat Support and I was very very pleased with the kindness, effort, patience and time that was given to help me (a computer numpty) in getting everything to work spot on!

I have been using Fasthosts since December 2010 to host some personal development projects. For the first year I was happy with this as the applications were not demanding. But since 2011 the applications were being used a lot more so after contacting support and being told "Everything will be fine" but it was not. Support were more than useless when contacted and in the past 12 months my applications have only been online 64% of the time which is appalling. This is not good when the server is down when i am meant to be working on it. Because of this I have moved to another provider and vps (which is a lot cheaper than the Fasthosts option) and have not had any issues with uptime and the support is fantastic. Certainly would not recommend Fasthosts to anybody who is running a business site and/or any application which they which to access.
Sorry to hear you've had such a poor experience with us, I'd like to have a look into things in depth here to see where the shortcomings were. Is there any chance you can supply a support ticket reference number so that I can do so please?
The Fasthosts website builder software is the fourth website builder I've used, and can produce a nice modern looking webpage, better than some. However, I ran into trouble adding extra pages where the title line, and subtitle line, didn't work out properly, and one or two other small irritations which made it just a little tricky to get the pages right. The publishing mechanism worked perfectly and as far as I know my users are satisfied. Documentation could be improved, especially a more detailed description of what each widget actually does, and how to get the best out of it.
